The Mayor of Wandsworth was the guest of honour when a fast-growing London-based decorating and DIY specialist opened its 30th store.

As Mayor Councillor Richard Field officially opened Leyland SDM’s latest outlet, based on 129 St John’s Hill (SW11 1TD) in Clapham Junction.

The Mayor said the new store was another welcome addition to the local area.

He said: “I’m very pleased to have opened the new store which will bring more jobs and an economic boost to the area.

“I’m sure it will be extremely busy with people from local households coming in to take advantage of the big range of products to do their DIY jobs around their homes.”

The store means Leyland SDM has doubled its presence in the local area, with another shop already open on Clapham High Street.

The store will be open seven days a week and will offer all the services Leyland SDM is known for, including in-store paint colour mixing.
