Property marking solutions company, Selectamark renew membership for the 15th year with Secured by Design

After 15 years of membership, the leading supplier of property and offender marking, forensic coding and asset identification solutions, Selectamark have once again renewed their membership with the official police security initiative, Secured by Design (SBD).

Following vigorous product testing and auditing by an accredited third-party organisation, Selectamark have achieved SBD’s Police Preferred Specification (PPS) on their innovative Bicycle Security product and Secure Database Register known as ‘BikeRegister: The National Cycle Database’.

Selectamark’s BikeRegister Database is used to record owner and bicycle details whilst providing 24/7 database access for the police, meaning that officers on the street can identify a bicycle’s owner within seconds.

BikeRegister also provides protection for buyers and sellers of second-hand bikes, who can check frame numbers via www.bikeregister.com/checker, to quickly confirm if it has previously been reported stolen.
