North London based estate agents, Martyn Gerrard, Statons and Jeremy Leaf have collectively revealed a demand for new-build houses in the Whetstone region. The agents, who are marketing two new developments in the area, have stated that although there is a surplus of second-hand homes in Whetstone, there is a pent-up demand for high-quality, new-build houses.

Speaking on the launch of Whetstone Gardens, a collection of eight new-build townhouses located in the heart of Whetstone developed by Yellow Brick Estates, the agents revealed that the houses on offer at Whetstone Gardens are catering to an untapped market in the area. Alongside the quality of design and finishes on offer with a new home, buyers are also look for gated developments and secure private parking with gyms and concierge services adding an extra bonus.

Demand for property in Whetstone has grown massively with the agents revealing that prices have increased by 25% in just five years with over 1,200 transactions in the N20 postcode over the same period. The data released from the agents highlights the area’s growing desirability as more young professionals move to the area attracted by value for money, transport links and schools. The pandemic also encouraged many central based Londoners to move further out to luxury suburbs such as Whetstone.
