New apartments launch in Chertsey

Housebuilder Barratt Homes is set to launch a selection of apartments at its popular Eldebury Place development on Hanworth Lane in Chertsey, Surrey, offering buyers a final chance to purchase onsite using Help to Buy. The scheme will provide aspiring homeowners with the opportunity to purchase a new home from the upcoming release of one and two-bedroom apartments with just a five per cent deposit.

Barratt Southern Counties will reveal its latest selection of modern apartments at Eldebury Place on Saturday 24th July. Designed with a flexible lifestyle in mind, each apartment features an elegant design and a high-quality finish throughout, boasting an open-plan living/dining area and a spacious main bedroom. Crucially, each apartment offers buyers access to much-coveted outdoor space in the form of a private balcony, or a patio area for ground floor apartments. Buyers will be able to book an appointment with a sales advisor to reserve off plan, with the show home scheduled to launch this Autumn.

Lynnette St-Quintin, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt Southern Counties, comments: “We are very excited to release our apartments at Eldebury Place, which crucially offers first time buyers a final chance to purchase at the development using Help to Buy. The scheme is a lifeline for aspiring homeowners who will struggle to save up a larger deposit, offering a real boost to help young first time buyers and professionals onto the property ladder.

“Eldebury Place has proven popular with buyers looking to make the most of a more balanced lifestyle in leafy Chertsey. The development is extremely well connected in terms of local amenities, with the high street just a couple of minutes’ walk away, and offers easy access into London by rail. What’s more, there are plenty of green outdoor spaces to explore, and Thorpe Park is just down the road for thrill seekers.”

Chelsea Grimwood (25), a first time buyer who purchased off-plan at Eldebury Place earlier this year, comments: “Buying off plan means that we are now really involved in the finishing touches to our home, which was so important to us as it means we can put our own stamp on the property. We now plan to use the next seven or eight months to save up for things like furniture, and other bits for the house.”

The first buyers at Eldebury Place moved into their new homes in the spring, and the development has already been commended with a ‘Built for Life’ award, recognising the development’s quality design and build. Eldebury Place is well equipped for life post-lockdown, as each home offers access to high-speed fibre optic broadband, ideal for working from home, while outdoors there is a wealth of green communal space for residents to enjoy.

One of the oldest market towns in England, Chertsey is well known for its excellent range of leisure opportunities, including shops, restaurants and cafes and a historic museum. An array of green walking routes, including the famous Thames Path leading to the Thames Barrier in central London, are easily accessible from Eldebury Place.

The development is a short walk from Chertsey Rail Station, from which London Waterloo and Weybridge can be reached in around 48 and 28 minutes respectively. There are also several local bus routes connecting residents to Woking, Addlestone and Kingston-upon-Thames. For journeys by car, key roads including the M3, M25 and A320 are nearby, providing access to destinations including Woking, Staines-upon-Thames and Heathrow Airport.

Barratt Southern Counties is launching its latest phase of one and two-bedroom apartments at Eldebury Place this Saturday 24th July. Prices start from £269,995 for a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony and private parking space. Available through Help to Buy, a low five per cent deposit starts from just £13,500.
