Introducing: The Corner London City just around the corner!

The Corner London City is a fresh and unique addition to London’s East End, based in the bustling Tower Hamlets and just around the corner from Brick Lane. Having undergone a swift rebrand by RBH Hospitality Management, the former QBIC 183-bedroom hotel is now ready to welcome guests under a new guise.

A hotel aptly named, every corner of the building offers a modern twist on East End life, balancing quirks with comfort and a prime location to explore both East and central London, just a few minutes’ walk to Aldgate East tube station.

The Greenest Hotel in London?

The hotel’s credentials to be the greenest hotel in London start with the bedrooms, which all feature a unique all-in-one pod that include a bed and bathroom, with striking images of life in East London as a bedstead. All bedrooms have a power-saving rain shower with water saving technology and a fully sustainable hypoallergenic super king mattress from UK based Natural Mat, whose production is certified organic, natural and chemical free. And if guests opt not to have their room serviced, they get a voucher for a free drink in the bar.

Further sustainable initiatives in the hotel include energy saving lights throughout, organic toiletries and a quest to only use locally sourced ingredients and local suppliers. The hotel also offers a secure gated car park with electric car charging points and complimentary recycled bikes for guests.

Aspects of the hotel’s culture, such as its monthly calendar of events in the hotel lounge, contribute to the ethos. The in-house bar and restaurant provide a lively space that also incorporates three meeting spaces that can be hired separately or together, supplemented with super-fast free Wi-Fi throughout the whole building.

Every corner of this hotel has a unique and interesting story to tell, from the sustainably-sourced fabrics, to the literature-adorned walls and extensive collection of art triumphantly displayed, on behalf of the hotel’s charity partner Café Art, on each floor.

Adding to the quirkiness, the rooms all contain bespoke handmade furniture made by artist Sander Bokkinga using reclaimed wood and old hosepipes. The hotel is pet and family friendly, with a small landscaped park across the road offering a green space, and there are trendy lounges, a pool table, table tennis and board games for those wanting to relax indoors.
