Im-port-ant news for port and pie lovers today as Cockburn’s Port, makers of the UK’s favourite reserve port, has announced the launch of its festive pop up: The Cockburn’s Port Pie Shop.

Open between 16th – 19th December in Shoreditch, London, for just £15* customers are invited to enjoy a truly delicious port and pie tasting experience comprising three mouth-watering courses:

Course One
Cockburn’s Fine White orange and cinnamon-spiced tonic // Taleggio & Confit Leek Pie
Matched w/ Taleggio, confit leek & thyme open pie w/ fig jam
Vegan: Confit leek, yeasted cauliflower & thyme open pie w/ fig jam

Course Two
Cockburn’s Special Reserve // Braised Beef Shin Pie w/ port gravy
Matched w/ Braised shin of beef, bay & juniper puff topped pie w/ port gravy
Vegan: Porcini, king brown mushroom, winter squash & sage puff topped pie w/ Port gravy

Course Three:
Cockburn’s Tails of the Unexpected ‘Tawny Eyes’ chilled nutmeg and ginger mull // Classic Mince Pie with port syrup
Matched w/ Classic Christmas Mince Pie w/ cinnamon butter & port & orange syrup
Vegan: Vegan Classic Christmas Mince Pie w/ cinnamon butter & port & orange syrup

The tasting experience, which would usually cost an estimated £40, is the perfect experience for friends and family to share and catch up over a port (or three). As well as the opportunity to sample different styles of port, from the nation’s favourite Special Reserve to a festive port cocktail with the latest addition to the family: Tails of the Unexpected ‘Tawny Eyes’ Tawny.

To bring The Cockburn’s Port Pie Shop to life, Cockburn’s is creating a warm and festive atmosphere, with fairy lights, Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, port barrels, wreaths and wrapping paper all round.

The space will also be serving a mulled port on a drop-by basis, to provide warming cheer to chilly Londoners.
