FURTHER APPOINTMENTS STRENGTHEN PERSIMMON LAND TEAM

Persimmon Homes has further strengthened its land and planning team with the appointment of an experienced land manager and a development control planner.

Anna Barrett joins from Bugler Group, where she was Land & New Business Manager, while Lucy Ormrod has joined from Bracknell Forest Borough Council, where she was a Planning Officer – bringing the total of new hires to the Maidenhead based North London business to four in four months.

Anna, born and bred in Hertfordshire, brings with her a wealth of contacts and experience from across the county, and is set to focus on land opportunities in areas such as Hitchin, Hemel Hempsted and Watford.

“This is such an exciting time to be joining the North London office,” said 25-year-old Anna. “There are huge opportunities ahead of us, and I am very much looking forward to being at the forefront of a job I love and facing new challenges.”

Anna began her career as an estate agent, before moving into land sales. She left West Herts College with a Business Diploma and is quick to point out that ‘Persimmon is not about having a degree, it’s about you as a person and what you can bring to the role’.

And she added: “I’m so pleased to be joining the company at this time, when Persimmon’s ambitions to be Britain’s leading home builder is being delivered through vision and values and with people in mind, not profit.”

Outside of work, Anna enjoys travel, socialising and going to gym, and recently adopted her Chow Hound Trevor from the Dog’s Trust
Lucy Ormrod, 24, graduated from The University of the West of England with a BA (Hons) in Geography followed by an MSc in Spatial Planning and Development from The University of Reading (Henley Business School).

She began her career as a Graduate Planner in 2019 at Boyer, before joining Bracknell Forest Borough Council as Planning Officer in 2020. She joined Persimmon at the end of December 2021.
Lucy said: “My experience at Persimmon Homes so far has been a very positive one.
“I’ve been working on some major developments and it feels like a very exciting time to have joined the company as the Land and Planning department continues to grow, and with Persimmon having been announced as a five-star house builder.
“The company offers a great career pathway which I envisage myself following in the years to come, and I’m looking forward to working on a variety of different projects and being part of Persimmon’s exciting plans going forward.”
