Ella Greenwood is stem4’s latest and youngest Ambassador

Ella Greenwood has been named as stem4’s latest and youngest ambassador, joining World Cup rugby player Hallam Amos and BAFTA-winning actress Georgina Campbell in the role.

The award-winning actor and filmmaker, who was born and raised in London, campaigns for better media representation of mental health. Her recent films ‘Faulty Roots’ and ‘Self-Charm’ both focus on mental illness in teens, with Rotten Tomatoes Critic Sarah Cartland saying “Greenwood offers a piercing insight into what it’s like for teenagers with depression, and marks herself out as an engaging, thoughtful and decisive young filmmaker to watch.”. She was recently featured by Jejune Magazine for ‘Writing The Script On Mental Health’ and Unpublished Magazine for ‘Revolutionizing the Conversation about Mental Health’.

Greenwood commented “Through my work so far I have shared my experience with mental illness and so it means a lot to me that I am now an ambassador for such an amazing charity like stem4. To be able to help them support young people, and to promote all the great things that they are doing is something that is very important to me. With the readily-available resources and advice that they provide teens, stem4’s work is extremely vital and I’m excited to work with them to promote positive mental health.”

The London based charity promotes positive mental health in teenagers and those who support them including their families and carers, education professionals, as well as school nurses and GPs through the provision of mental health education, resilience strategies and early intervention
