(May, LONDON, United Kingdom) Saicho, the prestigious single-origin sparkling tea brand, offers a refined, elegant selection of premium teas, perfect for an elevated way to observe International Tea Day – an annual observance honouring the significance of the international tea trade and all those involved in tea production, taking place on 21st May. Saicho is the product of founder Natalie Chiu’s exposure to two well-established tea cultures, offering a unique and refreshing beverage ideal for the growing discerning crowds who are seeking to drink less alcohol and making it well suited as a choice to celebrate the versatility and international appeal of tea.

Saicho has partnered with the Bloomsbury Hotel to celebrate all things tea on International Tea Day. On 21st May, all visitors to the reception of the Bloomsbury Hotel will receive a complimentary glass of Saicho in celebration of the occasion. The afternoon will also see the hotel’s Coral Room launch a Saicho Afternoon Tea, available on the menu for a limited time only (£40pp including a glass of Saicho Sparkling Tea).

The stunning grand salon bar, designed by the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki, sits adjacent to Dalloway Terrace. The vibrant space reflects a country house transported to the city, with a secluded cigar terrace and stylish, inimitable cocktail list served amidst decorative palm trees. The Afternoon Tea menu features iconic mainstays alongside classic twists, to be accompanied by a glass of Saicho Darjeeling, Jasmine or Hojicha. Highlights include savouries of marinated cucumber and cream cheese on spinach bread, devilled egg mayonnaise on a colourful brioche bun and pastrami, gherkin and mustard mayonnaise on wholemeal. A vanilla and lemon scone accompanies the golden raisin, while sweet treats include carrot sponge, a white chocolate, lemon and thyme cream on pistachio sponge, a saffron custard tart with campari poached rhubarb and a Chocolate Dome of dark chocolate, cherry and sage mousse and chocolate brownie.

For those who prefer to celebrate at home, in honour of International Tea Day on 21st May, Saicho will be offering 10% off on all products until the end of the month. Each £30 spent will earn buyers an entry into an exclusive giveaway to win a complimentary Saicho Afternoon Tea at the Coral Room for two guests.

Perfect for pairing dinners, aperitifs or to celebrate with a toast on a sparkling note, Saicho is the creation of Hong Kong native Natalie and her partner Charlie Winkworth-Smith, who first established the luxurious effervescent tea brand in the United Kingdom. Boasting a collection of cold-brewed sparkling teas masterfully crafted to be as nuanced as the finest champagnes, Saicho’s creations make for an excellent pour to sip your celebratory cuppa.

For those in search of an al fresco drinking spot to welcome the warmer months, there’s no better spot than Dalloway Terrace, set next to the Coral Room and currently featuring a cocktail menu and paired afternoon tea from The Botanist Gin. Until May, guests visiting the terrace can enjoy a springtime drinks menu featuring two Saicho cocktails, alongside afternoon tea.
