Canary Wharf announces line-up for Festival14; a brand new music, arts, theatre, and comedy festival arriving this July

A brand-new arts festival is coming to London this summer at Canary Wharf’s Festival14 headlined by acts including Hip Hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash, disco powerhouse Jocelyn Brown, the electrifying House Gospel Choir and London Legend Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, all of which are sure to take the main stage at Canada Square Park by storm. Taking place from Thursday 21stto Sunday 24th July, festivalgoers will be spoilt for choice with a huge line up of music, theatre, comedy, dance and family activities.

Amongst other headliners just announced comedians Felicity Ward and Milton Jones will take the mic at the Westferry Circus stage having both previously appeared on the line up at Canary Wharf’s Comedy Club.

Shakespeare from cycling theatre group the HandleBards and Big Fish Little Fish family rave add to the diverse running order, with most of the acts free to attend. The extensive range of live music, theatre, dance and comedy will transform the Wharf’s numerous parks, plazas and open spaces as they host a stunning line up of artists and performers from across the world.

Music fans should head to Canada Square Park where the event’s main stage will offer up an unmissable programme of free music. All tastes are catered to with music from new and emerging talents, world famous DJs, classical music, jazz and soul artists and a gospel choir.

The music will continue at Jubilee Park where some of the capital’s best busking talent will be playing live, as part of Canary Wharf’s partnership with Busk in London.

Those looking for some theatre will find that Westferry Circus has been transformed into an intimate outdoor theatre featuring Shakespearean plays and evening comedy – while cabaret, comedy and storytelling can be found at Crossrail Place Roof Garden.

When it’s time to refuel, there will be a street food market running daily on Montgomery Square, offering a range of delicious dishes from around the world. Guests can also book in to one of Canary Wharf’s many bars, restaurants and cafes, some of which will be running special offers over the festival weekend.

Most of the events are free to attend on a first come first served basis. Some events are ticketed so festivalgoers are encouraged to check out the full programme beforehand available to view at https://canarywharf.com/whats-on/festival14/.
